What if you could meet sustainability goals while also improving performance!

Alltech recently took another step toward its Planet of Plenty™ purpose when it acquired a majority interest in feed additive producer Agolin. Founded in 2006 in Switzerland, Agolin develops and produces nutritional solutions with a blend of essential oils that improve herd performance, profitability and sustainability.

Agolin’s line of high-quality products complements Alltech’s proven nutritional technologies, such as Yea-Sacc® and Optigen®. The synergistic use of Alltech and Agolin solutions leads to improved animal welfare, greater feed efficiency and conversion, enhanced milk and meat production, reproductive success, increased profitability, a reduced environmental footprint, and more.

We invite you to visit us at the Central Plains Dairy Expo to ensure that your cows are getting the most out of their feed to maximize your productivity.

Cows keep the lights on: Using methane digesters to turn waste into watts

When the sun rises each morning and we turn on the lights to start our day, many of us are unaware of exactly where the electricity lighting our homes originates or how it is created. For many homes in California’s San Joaquin Valley, that electricity is being powered by an unexpected source: cow manure.

At Fiscalini Farms outside Modesto, California, Brian Fiscalini and his family are practicing sustainable dairy farming by using a dairy methane digester. The methane digester converts the manure created by their dairy cows into electricity by combining the manure with high levels of heat. Read More
