… give your herd the right start
The first 100-days post calving is the most critical time to set your herd up for a for a successful 305 day lactation.
The majority of disease and metabolic disorders occur in early lactation, so correct nutrition and management around this time is crucial to reduce issues and save farms labour and costs.
Getting the Nutrition, Immunity and Rumen Health right during the first 100 days will determine Milk yield, fertility, health and BCS throughout the lactation.
Intouch and Alltech work with farmers on areas around body condition score, nutrition, minerals and cow management to set herds up for a more productive lactation. With more than 40 years experience in the field using products and services backed by scientific research, we have solutions to any issues farmers are facing.

The early lactation cow is susceptible to a host of metabolic issues as her system comes under pressure producing milk and recovering from calving. Sub acute rumen acidosis (SARA), low milk protein, low butter fat, fertility issues, body condition score (BCS) loss and milk fever can all occur. However you can minimise these issues with the correct management.
If you have any queries on how Alltech can help with your management and Nutrition this spring please get in touch with your local representative or call the InTouch hub on 059 910 1320.
