What the Alltech Career Development Programme involves
This yearlong programme offers invaluable hands-on learning, including rotations in animal nutrition, sales, new product development, marketing and events, as well as sustainability-based projects. In-depth training will be provided across ruminant nutrition, personal development, and commercial sales and marketing. Successful candidates will enjoy the opportunity to travel between the Irish market and other Alltech locations worldwide.
There is strong potential for career progression upon completion of the programme.

The Alltech Way Personal Development Training
Ruminant Nutrition
You will receive extensive ruminant nutrition training, working directly with customers as you learn about ration formulation, farm protocols, economic evaluations and more.
Commercial sales and marketing
This will focus on negotiation, sales processes, and understanding the customer. You will be working within Alltech’s marketing department, with training in branding, graphics, social media and digital marketing.
Personal Development
You will gain strong skills in project management, communication, presentation, and leadership.

Candidate requirements
- We are looking for candidates who have a passion for agriculture and sustainability.
- Candidates should be motivated, hard-working team players with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- We welcome applications from those who have:
- A level 8 degree, with a minimum of a 2:1 in agriculture, food, biosciences or related disciplines.
- A full Irish driver’s licence
- Visa or eligibility to work in Ireland/EU.

- July 21 - Programme commencement
