Dr. Juan Gomez-Basauri, global director of Alltech’s companion animal business, will review some of the recent research in brain health and the benefits of essential nutrients, including fatty acids, vitamins and trace minerals (particularly selenium), as potential neuroprotective agents to delay the onset of neurologic disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease and canine cognitive dysfunction syndrome. This work can provide insights into improving the well-being and quality of life of aging canines.
